Hosted by Nick Cannon, with panellists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke, “The Masked Singer'' is a top-secret singing competition in which celebrities face off against one another while shrouded from head-to-toe in elaborate costumes, concealing their identities. With each performance, the host, panellists, audience, viewers, and even the other contestants are left guessing who is singing behind the mask. The singers may attempt to throw off the crowd, but keen observers might pick up on tiny clues buried throughout the show. Each week, a singer is eliminated and then reveals his or her true identity. (2010) Directed by Matthew Vaughan. Comic book geek Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) may not have good coordination or special powers, but that doesn't mean he isn't a fully capable crime fighter. After purchasing a flashy wet suit on the Internet, Dave starts busting up baddies with nothing but brute force. He calls himself Kick-Ass, and he can take a beating as good as he can dish one out. Before long, Kick-Ass has become a local sensation, and others are following his lead. Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) are a father-daughter crime-fighting duo who have set their sights on local mob heavy Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong). They're doing a decent job of dismantling Frank's sizable underworld empire when Kick-Ass gets drawn into the fray. But Frank's men play rough, and his son, Chris (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), is about to become Kick-Ass' very first arch-nemesis.[Comedy | Action] (2011) Directed by Paul Feig. Annie ( Kristen Wiig ) is a romantically unattached failed bakery owner who fears she's losing her BFF, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), the best thing in her life, when Lillian announces she's gotten engaged. Annie's anxieties deepen as Lillian grows close to Helen (Rose Byrne), a wealthy and beautiful new friend who quickly assumes control of planning all the pre-wedding festivities. While Annie's female friendship is being torn apart, she finds comfort in answering booty calls from the casually cruel yet undeniably handsome Ted (Jon Hamm) but develops a lovely flirtation with an Irish cop named Rhodes (Chris O'Dowd). As the low-self-esteem Annie sabotages this new possibility for love, she also feels the most important friendship in her life slipping away. [Comedy] (1987) Directed by Norman Jewison. When there's a full moon over Brooklyn, anything can happen, and everything happens in the neighbourhood where widowed bookkeeper Loretta Castorini (Cher) lives. First, Loretta agrees to marry a man she does not love, Johnny Cammareri (Danny Aiello), simply because he knows how to propose properly. Before the wedding can take place, Cammareri must visit his dying mother in Sicily. In his absence, Loretta is supposed to try to patch up the differences between Johnny and his brother, bakery operator Ronny Cammareri (Nicolas Cage). Having never forgiven Johnny for indirectly causing the accident that crippled him, Ronny flies into a rage whenever his brother's name is mentioned. He does, however, fall for Loretta like a ton of bricks. After a torrid affair, Loretta tries to avoid Ronny out of respect for Johnny, but he's just too fascinating to resist. [Comedy |Romance] (2014) Directed by Tim Story. Ben (Kevin Hart) longs to marry his gorgeous girlfriend Angela (Tika Sumpter), but before he can propose he must first get the approval of her tough-as-nails brother James (Ice Cube), a top detective in the Atlanta Police Department. When aspiring police officer Ben gets accepted into the academy, he finally musters the courage to ask for James' blessings. Still unconvinced that Ben has what it takes to provide for his beloved baby sister, James invites Ben on a ride-along through the toughest parts of town. At first James' efforts to terrify the young trainee go perfectly according to plan, but once the pair incur the wrath of Atlanta's most feared criminal, all bets are off. [Comedy | Action] (2009) Directed by Judd Apatow. George Simmons (Adma Sandler), a comic superstar who learns in the movie's opening scene that he suffers from a rare blood disorder that will likely kill him within a year. At a club, he meets struggling standup Ira Wright (Seth Rogen), who takes a shine to him, and hires the young man both to write jokes and to be his personal assistant. Ira, who's been sleeping on a friend's pull-out couch and working a day job at a deli, enjoys the glimpse into the superstar lifestyle, but soon the protégé discovers how selfish and egocentric his mentor really is. [Comedy | Drama] (1995) Directed by Tamara Davis. An overgrown rich kid (Adam Sandler) who wiles away his days poolside, swilling kegs of beer and appreciating fine nudie magazines such as "Drunk Chicks" -- that is until his father (Darren McGavin) decides to test his mettle as the future head of the family business by posing a challenge: retake and pass grades K-12 in 24 weeks or watch control of the business pass to the requisite conniving underling (Bradley Whitford). Forced into action, Billy vows to change his drunken ways. He enrolls in kindergarten, makes new friends, pelts pint-sized kids with playground balls and develops a love interest in a pretty teacher (Bridgitte Wilson). The action culminates in an academic showdown between Billy and the purportedly Harvard-educated underling for the future of the family enterprise. No small feat for a man fresh out of the first grade. [Comedy] (1995) Directed by Noah Baumbach.
