(2006) Directed by Shawn Levy. The French soccer coach Yves Gluant (Jason Statham) is murdered and the Pink Panther diamond he was wearing when he died is stolen. Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus (Kevin Kline) assigns the buffoonish Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin) to the case, in the hopes that the media will focus on Clouseau and allow a behind-the-scenes team of experts to actually solve the crime. But as Clouseau and his assistant (Jean Reno) follow through on the clues and follow the late Gluant’s girlfriend, Xania (Beyoncé Knowles), to America, it begins to look like they might actually crack the case after all.
