That's the ethereal message that inspires Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) to construct a baseball diamond in the middle of his cornfield. At first, a disgraced ballplayer Shoeless Joe Jackson (Ray Liotta) materializes on the ballfield and plays a few games.
